I have the avic D3(has never given me any problems) the bluetooth(btb100) and now installed the xm(gex-920xm) tuner. After installing the xm every time I hit a bump my amps(kenwood) go into protective mode or shut off completely. I sometimes would hear cracking through the speakers so I checked my ground to make sure it wasn't loose. I did tap into the battery(yellow) with the btb100 and I made sure that wasn't lose. Instead of having the attenna out side the car I placed it in the back window by the speakers.

I am pretty much just learning on my own so I have no idea what to look at next or what I need to do to solve this problem. I am hoping you guys can help me out :)

Where is the new tuner mounted? sounds like it's grounding out under the dash. The location of the antenna would have no effect on your amps. Recheck all the power and ground wiring to be sure nothing is frayed or exposed especially under the dash around the new xm unit.
