Ok guys and gals. you asked for it so here it is. We are going to Island Dragway on Sunday 11/15, we can also schedule a rain date for 11/22. This is a test and tune only and hopefully with the end of the season coming we can get alot of runs in. So please post here if you are going and sign up in th events section. We had alot of fun there last year. You can come and spectate as well. So let's get em out there before the winter blues set in.

Just bumping this thread a week early. The NJ Mopar Group is planning a Track day for 11/15 at Island Dragway. For those of you who have gone before, you know we have a great time doing this. For those who haven't but have thought about running your car please consider it. This is a test and tune only, which means a relaxed non competition race atmosphere. (unless you are me and my wife), but I digress, it is alot of fun to race and or spectate. The track sells food and drinks has plenty of seating. We usually set up in a few spots in the pits so we can all park together and chat. The cold weather brings out the beast in these vehicles. We usually race each other.

So, come on.. sign up and come on out. Run em once or a bunch of times, this time of year usually is a great time as we can get a bunch of runs in..

Unfortunately I'm gonna be missing that event (I've got tickets to the army football game for my kids that day) that's why I'm gonna try to get to island on the 15th. November is a great time for racing!

Hey Everyone,

If you are planning on going to track day, please sign up in the events section. I like to keep track of who's going. Even if you need to back out for some reason you can un enroll. So far the weather looks good for sunday, but it is a little far away yet. If for some reason we get postponed, I can reschedule the track day for the following weekend which is Island's closing weekend. Either the 21st or 22nd. Just my 2 cents here. We usually meet at Panther Valley at 9:30 am and roll out sharp to the track. Please post here for the caravan in.

Looking forward to meeting you! Take Route 80 West toward the Del Water Gap. Exit at C R 517, which is the Allamuchy Exit off Interstate 80.

Go SOuth toward Hackettstown on 517

About 1/2 a miile down on yoru right you will see Panter Valley - a gated community with a bunch of shops, a hotel, etc along 517. We usually meet in the parking lot in front of the 7-11 convenience store.

Glad you are thinking of coming. If you are coming from Somerset, I would take 287 to 78 west to 31 north to 46 east. When you get to the end of 31 North you will make a right on 46 east and Island Rd. will be on the Left. Small road. Call me if you get lost. 973-202-7905. I think the caravan spot will be out of your way. Don't worry, you will see us when you get in or we will find you.

Weather looks great for Sunday. Don't forget, if you don't have a Snell rated helmet you must rent one for $5.00. You need a credit card and a license to rent. Any one cravaning, we will meet at 9:15 sharp at the Panther Valley Mall on rt 517.

PS: Joe/Dave We will see you guys at the track in our usual spot.
