OOOOOOOOOOH thems is fightin words! HEHE
Show 'em how it's done Steve!
You know, it's easy to have a decent consistent reaction time with a slow car that doesn't even make enough horsepower to spin the tires at the starting line right??
When you're making some power, that's when things can go haywire, right Steve?
I may have to attend this event just to see Gregg get put on the proverbial "trailer" after the first round, LOL

Hey Greg,
If you sign up for Island track day we could see some preliminary "Grudge Matches" before the big race!

Englishtown or Atco, I don't go up to "The Corn Field!" anymore. After watching some ricer blow the hood off his car and 10 sec. later there sending cars down the track......"No thanks" Not to mention the "2" nails I got in my tires there last time.

We'll see. Maybe I'll make it out to Etown next Saturday. When are you gonna spring for new drag radials? I sold you those rims almost a year ago now.

If you returned your phone calls, that's what I was calling you yeseterday about. They don't seem to make the size you have on there anymore and have to go with a 275/40/17 instead.

You're probably better off with a 275/40 anyway due to your higher gearing. My car has 3.06's while yours has 2.82's. a 40 series tire is more suited to the RT's setup. I say go for it! Can't wait to see some smoke pourin off the back end of your car (in a good way)

Saturday was absolutly "Beautiful!" There was a really nice turn out of Mopars a few regulars were missed due to illness or car problems but had a great turn out none the less. I (with the new drag radials) set a personal best with the car in the two quailfiying rounds. 1st round of qualifying the car went a 13.393 @102.85 w/a .040R/T and 2nd round went a 13.287@ 103.19 w/ a .030 R/T. Everyone was cranking out some really good numbers because the humidity was low along with the temp and no real wind to speak of. It did start to get hotter as we waited for first round of eliminations to start but only helped in tire hook up. HemibeeSteve and TB619 were putting out some really nice numbers also. I think I have to stop parking next to Steve from now on because when first round came he was pretty far ahead of me in the lanes and was listing on the radio of his first round race as he "Red- Lighted" and I started yelling "Come on Steve!!" Well I guess I should of kept my big mouth quiet......."Yeah I did the same thing!" (Dumbass!!)I let this SRT Jeep syce me out. The real kick in the jewels was he cut a .527 light to boot. I would have normally stayed to the end to see how everyone did but as I got back to the pits I got a text message from Freddy from Boardwalk Hotdogs w/ a CALL ASAP 911! The type of call that you are scared to return for feaf of bad news! Well it was just that! Christien who works w/ Freddy is acousin of my "Good Friend and Bestman " at my wedding Frankie's wife Gina. (Part of the Saragusa clan) Kris started the conversation by "Are you driving or sitting down?" Which is something you never want to hear! She proceeded to tell me that "My boy Frankie" was killed on the Parkway at 1am that morning around exit 136. Some of you that live up North most likely heard about it. He evidently lost control of the car (fell asleep) came across the median spining the car a couple of times and then hitting a tree. They called in a Medavac chopper but was pronounced dead as it arrived. He was 38 years old, Gina just had a baby boy (Frankie IV) and was due to be Christened TODAY! Needless to say I just about left with the drag tire on the car but made the fastest pit change I ever have and got out of there visibly and emotionly shot! So those of you that were there....."No I wasn't crying and upset due to a redlight and round loss but the loss of one of my dearest friends." I hope everyone had a great rest of the day and did well. I will post the new class events under the "Ulimited" post I put up earlyier when I get a chance......Schleppy.....

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I have been going through all my pic's from college and even my wedding album the past few days and just can't believe he is gone. The real messed up part is that 15 yrs ago Frankie had an Impala SS when they first came out and fell asleep and wrapped it around a tree. They brought him to Jersey Shore Trauma and had to revive him twice on the way and spent a number of days in a coma. You would think that, that would be the ultimate "WAKE UP CALL" to wearing a seat belt and not driving like your "Invinceable!" But as much as he made everyone laugh and had a really big hart to everyone around him unfourtuantly "That was still Frankie". I wish God could bring him back to me for just 5minutes so I could "Kick his Ass!" for doing this to his family and friends. He was so dearly loved by all of us which makes it hurt so much worse. The service's are tomorrow up in Union, depending on how long I can last maybe we'll shoot over to the Staten Island M&G so I can have Bryan make me laugh a little. Thanks again guy's.
