Ok so things have progressed a bit but I broke my toe this past Friday. Yes broke my toe! This has hampered things a bit & looks like it also has put off painting another weekend because I could not lend a hand with some last minute thinhgs that had to be acomplished. This sucks to say the least. OK OK I'm done yelping about it. (for now).

The car is now in high build primer & next is finishing the hood & then applying a sealer coat to the entire car & then drill holes for the molding then then then PAINT!

Here is a few shots of the car from yesterday...

Hey Tom, I'm anxiously awaiting this guy's phone #. My guy still hasn't touched my car and I'm really thinking of just going to pick it up and cut ties with him.

Drilled holes for the check moldings, sanded the last coat of primer & then wet sanded it, taped up the car, drilled the holes for the rear chrome trim, wiped car down & then paint started by 2pm:

Can't wait to see it done.  I love the color.  You do realize that if we have the covered bridge tour again you must jump the river and not use the bridge, right?

LOL. I cannot wait to do parades & stuff with this thing. I'm guessin it should be a real head turner. This safteycone orange color really POPS!

As for the jump, I started out making it to be a beater & well as it went further & further into the work it got more involved, alot more than I had 1st thought so with that said the only thing I will prob jump will be the battery!

sweet paint job love the color my father and i were thinking about doing orange not for the fact of the general lee but his first car was an orange 69 charger. now that we got a 70 charger we are contemplating

I liked the Dukes growing up and now I have a 3yr old so I decided to make this car for me as much as for him. I currently own a 69 Coronet 500 Convertible & a 70 Charger R/T

I just sold a 70 Super Bee clone last year & a 68 Charger the year b4 that.

The 3 classic Mopars I have now are keepers for sure because I pretty much understand that I may not be able to get back into the hobby that I love so much for so many years.

As for this 69 becoming a General Lee. It will be my own & It's going to be a BLAST & when or if it ever wears off boom a re-paint & its whatever color I want it to be!

Progress pictures will continue, hope you all enjoy it, Tom!

Well its got some things I want to take care of like a leaky heater core, It will be gettin dual exhaust put on, the grill is out getting completly overhauled, trim polished grill repainted after some cracks repaired, The front buckets are HURTIN & need to be recovered after I buy the covers that is. Before ya think oh man we wont see this thing til next year or 2......Here is what I have ready to go on the car---->

New bumpers, new door handles, new pop-top gas cap & trim ring, new door rubber, all new bumper stoppers, new rug, new headliner, bought the re-bop 10spoke rims & new tires mounted, powdercoated pushbar, all new marker lenses, polished all the chrome that was removed while car was being painted & polished the tail light lenses & had the tail light chrome trim rechromed as well as the "check" moldings and the rear "eyebrows" those were all rechromed also.

I hope to seriously be able to go to cruises this season sometime. When? I am not sure it comes down to the almighty $$$$
