Great job! Are you going to have a custom plate for it? GNRLLEE, DUKES01,DUKE 01,GENERAL,GENRL 01,NJGENRL. Just a few for thought.
Yea I was thinking about those when the car was just apup & have not given it much thought with all I got going on with it. I like the idea of a personal plates like you mentioned. Will keep'em in mind & have to decide sooner or later. I am only going to have a 5 letter choice since it will be going classic QQ so I was thinking YEEHA
QQ YEEHA I like that!
ok so I got the paint Friday at Tills in Woodbury for the flag & the General Lee & the 01
The next picture will be with the clear coat applied.
I had to leave b4 it could be applied this morning
Happy Fathers Day to ME! lol
Lookin good. Its very cool to starting to see it come together like that. The masks look really good. How were they made?
Dave,
The kit is actually a stencil kit made of vinyl. Some of it gave us trouble coming off but we resolved the problems & all worked out in the end. I have still not seen it with clear on it yet & yea it's killin me. Maybe tonight!
Heres the car with the flag clear coated.
I dont know why it looks crooked on this site cause it's not.
Very happy with the outcome now the 01's are next!
looking real nice there. can't wait to see it finished
WOW! That is looking awesome. Hopefully it will be ready by the end of the summer and you bring it to one of the events.
Have to this car in person when its finished. Looks great so far!
Went & did the 01's today:
The doors are not cleared in these shots. I had to leave b4 that occured. I will update the shots when i get back over there.
What a blast that is going to be when it is finished. I look forward to seeing it and I know a bunch of youngens will be thrilled to check it out for sure. Nice work Tom!
Joe
Shot the rear panel today:
Lookin' good Tom. Can't wait to see it in person. Any chance it will be done before winter?
Well.......
The bodywork will hopefully be 100% completed by the end of next weekend. I wont see the car again now until after Chryslers @Carlisle. I will grab the items I can afford to compliment the outside of the car like the rear bumper & stuff like that. I will then need to decide what are the things i can do without....money-wise--ya know? I mean I gotta get exhaust put on it too so that has priority over recovering the seats....make sense?
To answer your question on done....I dont think it'll ever be done LOL but it will get to cruise nights this season yes. May not be 100% done done but it will make some events.
Awesome! Keep us posted with a date for the unveiling
