What is the stock diameter for a 3.5L V6 throttle body. I'm looking into getting a ported one and want to know where im getting the best deal. on the LX rwalshphoto with aecarbon is doin bout 71 mm and lxmodguy is doin 3mm larger over stock. tryna to compare the two.

didnt see anything bout v6 throttles in their forum or website...still lookin to find out how big stock v6 tb is also
Stock for 3.5 is 64mm. Stock for 5.7 and 6.1 is 80mm.
so it sounds like a big difference but is 67mm vs 71mm that big of a deal?
While 4 or 5 mm doesn't sound like much you have to take in to account why ported throttle bodies work. By increasing the diameter you increase the Volume of the area before and after the butterfly creates a better venturi effect. This speeds up the air through AI side causing an increase of pressure. This causes a pressure drop on the intake side the air diverges to leave the AI side. This creates better oxygenated air which results in better combustion.
The other thing to keep in mind the air intake is not ported and polished and will only allow just so much extra air volume through. I'm not sure the 71 will be worth it without other changes.
I don't think Moe's carries a V6 ported Throttle Body.
