I put on a K&N cold air intake and now I have a whisteling noise when I step on the gas. Is this normal ? I dont have any codes Anyone have the same noise

Could be normal... As I have heard those noises before.

But, just make sure everything is clamped on properly and tightly to make sure it isn't air coming through a little hole/gap somewhere.

I have a K&N Intake as well. I have no whistling noise. I have heard of this before. I will do some research and see what this is and get back to you.

Rob,

From what i understand and have read this is prevalent more with the V6's than the HEMI's. I think it has to be a loose or partially connected PCV hose, but that is a guess. Re-check all the connections for a tight fit. Below is a contact I have at K&N in the engineering dept. E-mail him your question, they are very proactive and will respond . His name is Ryan.

I was just going to mention the Oxygen sensor, make sure it is put in tightly and has a nice seal.


No accidents (That were my fault). tickets, or points (yet) Custom painted rear spoiler, Magnaflow dual exhaust, added fog lights, Kenwood stereo w/ satellite and dual Memphis amps and sub woofer (all memphis speakers ) Hood pistons, tinted windows, window shades, inner trunk lid cover. K & N cold air intake filter. DiabloSport Predator 93 Octane Performance Tune. Painted strut covers. Added chin spoiler and rear diffuser panel. 20 inch Foose Wheels w/ Yokohama Avid Envigor Tires.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got in contact with K&N first by Email and then by phone. They said the noise is normal the stock intake was so consricted now the air is flowing easyer over the throttle body blades. Thanks again for all your help. You gotta love this club

Rob just tell the wife you cant take the noise anymore so your trading in for a SRT she should understand :)
