I was just looking at the record holders in various catagories on the lx forums and noticed something very interesting. According to their leader board, the fastest stock v6 is Ron, Schenphotography, with a 15.57 @ 88mph pass. Didn't Deena run a 15.46 @ 89mph last weekend? That would make her the official/unofficial fastest stock v6 in existence.

I think if for no other reason, you should join the lx forums just to get your very own football. That's the little trophie they design with your best time slip posted in it. You're still Champion in my book D!

Well, thanks guys, but ~technically~ I'm not stock, I have some strange CAI system strapped onto my car...it's a bit dirty ....
Funny you mention this now, b/c on my way home from school I was racing a '99 Pontiac Grand Am or something (it was dark out) . Anyway, found out the engine gets a little unhappy after 120mph for the v6 .
'06 SXT: chrome accents; E & G Classics Gille w/ center bar; CAI;factory style spoiler; 5% tints in the back; 12000k HID's; 20" SRT 6 wheels (lol)!!

I had my car up to 118 and had to back down beause I ran out of road. I wonder what the top speed is?

Aftermarket filters are allowed in "stock" catagory according to their rules for top spot so it's all good girl!

Stock
Stock encompasses a variety of foreign and domestic production vehicles. Everything from late-model passenger cars and trucks to the popular vehicles of the 1960s and 1970s can participate in any Stock class. Few modifications or alterations are allowed. As in Super Stock, a handicap starting system is used, and breakout rules are enforced.
This is what I got off the NHRA web site. it is pretty vague.

Yes, I have the quickest stock V6 record, since that run I've gone 15.338@90.76 mph with a K&N drop-in, silencer/resonator removed and that's just about it performance wise! I'm running on Goodyear Integrity street tires. I take all the crap out of the rear, seats, trays, spare tire, etc...since the Magnums have a 100lb weight disadvantage over the Chargers.

Thanks Tony, yeah but I still have one more in front of me....Joel. He's got JBA heads, BB exhuast, predator, drag radials and Airhammer HO and he's running 15.1's. I feel a 15.2 in my car but I don't have DR's, I'm so close.

Congrats Deena! Ron forget about getting a 15.1..I got a better idea, trade in your maggie for the chally at that lexus dealer and then we can talk about I dont Know, 13.5's? lol...I want that car soooo bad :(

Hi Schen,
Are you from the Woodbridge area? I think I asked you about your hood at a traffic light @ Rt. 35 a few month ago? Am I right? I was in my white Mag.
Who holds the record for a 2.7? I would love to run the wife's Charger at the track sometime. and see if it could break 17 seconds.

yep that was me, I'm over in Fords. There's no 2.7's on the list, just the 3.5's racing. I'm pretty sure there might have been one or two 2.7 Chargers racing last year at E-town but I don't remember what they ran. Me and Andrew went out tonight and I just saw the other Todd (Paradog) and his 3.5L Charger tonight which was nice cause I haven't seen him in a while. As far as I know the Charger guys don't gut their cars. Haven't seen much from Rich either which is kinda a bummer, seems like me and Deena are the only two that race V6's at E-town anymore. Last year we had a big group of V6's. For the most part, it seems the three guys in front of me run with some sort of intake, exhuast and a predator on street tires with the exception of Joel who has JBA shorties and DR's cause he has 05' with the 42RLE trans as opposed to the NAG1. Deena would be 5th overall for an NA 3.5L V6. I'm only 2nd to Joel in the 3.5L Magnum catagory with only .200 seperating us and a whole ton of mods. Nobody, as far as we know it, has gone 14.9 NA with proof. The only real deal 14 or lower passes made were by Wishing for A Hemi, who went 13.6@103 with a 125 shot of NOS, exhaust, intake, predator, cams and 3000 stall converter on a stock 3.5 block and Modern Muscle, they just strapped a supercharger to one of their cars and went 14.7.
