I am currently running the 93 octane tune for my SXT, but haven't modified the tune yet.

Have any of you changed the settings? If so, what exactly have you done? I want to get the most out of my car, obviously.

The Predator is a great mod for your car. You will see a big difference in performance. It can be installed with or without the cold air intake. I would suggest the intake when money allows. You do have to run 93 octane fuel or 91 octane if you can find it. Their are two differerent settings for either octane you use. Alot of us have the Predator, so feel free to ask any questions.

So you think it's worth spending the $285 for the Preditor? I read it only will gain 10-15 Hp and 15+ ft lbs tq. Is that a huge differance? Not sure myself..Is there an improvement in gas milage?

www.truckcustomizers.com/products/dia...

Here I found for $287.00 it's all over ebay for $325+

Robert--ask anyone who has installed one and they will tell you HELL yes--improvement in mpg--hp--better shifting response--more torque--

ask : Freezer--Texaskeystone--HEMI in Bayville--JerseyTechGuy--Russ--Schelprock68--ChallengerChick--ITSASTK--that should be enough members to give some idea--

as far as I'm concerned it was the BEST Bang for the Buck--

I have a 6Banger with a predator and it totally opens up your gas pedal. Its like taking off a governor off a go-cart. I think its totally worth it.. As for gas.. I probably use up more because I am always smashing down the gas pedal :)

When you get the predator some places have package deals that include the USB computer cable. (To backup your stock tune and also download new updates) The link you provided below is just for the tuner. Check out Maryland Speed they have it also for $289.00 and FREE SHIPPING http://marylandspeed.com/lx-chargerma... Give Jen a call over there Shes great to deal with tell her 2Hypnotize sent ya 443-730-9428 They also price match.

Good luck...

Well, I have it, just waiting to empty the 89 octane out and fill it up with 93. It mentions about an update right away, did anyone need to update there unit before installing any modifications? Just a tiny bit nervous playing around with my cars brain.

If it asks for an update, you must do this before you can proceed. Most cars do require it. It isn't anything to be worried about. It has more to do with matching code between the car and the tool than anything else. The first thing it will do (once it's been updated on your pc) is upload your stock tune onto the tool off your car so that will remain safe while you play with the canned tunes.

Well. It updated, but it did absolutly NOTHING that the instructions said it was sopposed to do.

I downloaded the DSdownloader and installed it. It did it all by itself. I was told by the instructions I was to reboot the DiaSport, but it never asked me to as mentioned in intructions. It showed new version when complete?? it said it is now under remote control and away it went..

I hope it is OK....

No.. They are two different Predator models I believe. Also, you don't want to mess up your Dads stock tune if it is in his Predator.
