So with all the talk of the O-ring recall that one of my other postings generated, I wanted to check what other recalls may be out there for my '06 SXT. 

First stop, the Dodge website.  I typed the last 8 of my Vin# and it says that there is nothing recalled...  Ok odd, but maybe the site is just not updated since before that recall or maybe I entered Vin# wrong.  As I happen to glance up to double-check my Vin# for typos I notice that the screen says I have a 2006 Charger SE...

I called the dealer to ask about the O-ring recall or any other recall that may affect my SXT.  After putting my Vin# in their "Dealer database" they confirmed no recalls are due or ever registered for MY car.  Again, odd since I have yet to find car maker that makes a "PERFECT" product.  I then asked what model his computer pulled up and he too stated it was an SE.

I know there are people out there who up-badge their cars to get more $$ by fooling a naive private buyer (I bought mine from the dealer), but considering I have multi-directional power seats, a feature not available for the '06 SE, AND the build sheet I recieved from Chrysler a few months back stating it had the SXT package with optional 18" aluminum wheels right off the line, I am abit concerned / confused.

Anyone else have this happen?

if i remember correctly...i believe SXT was basically a option pakage you add to an SE from 06 and previous years. so it be like adding a road and track package to an R/T. So technically ur car is an SE with the SXT package. i may be wrong but i think that is why it shows up as an SE. i learned this when i talked to a dealer at reedman toll. i was lookin at used chargers and the car had SE on the Window sticker but had a 3.5L in it and that is how he explained it.
