Are any of these magic Teflon sealers worth having applied to a new car? I know back in the day they were a total rip off but maybe things have come a long way and they are better now?

They are still a complete rip off. It was a way to make money at the dealer. A glorified wax. Save yourself some money and buy a quality paint sealant and wax. I use Griots products. www.griotsgarage.com . McGuiars makes some good stuff as well.
