I just received my stage 2 afe CAI kit for my 3.5L and I think I'm having more trouble then I should be. At first, I tried to put in the sensor and it snapped (like everyone said it might) . Then, I finally got my second sensor into the grommet and it ripped the bottom half of the grommet clean off. I went to 3 different places looking for this stupid grommet and no one seems to have it.
Can anyone please help me out?
My husband dropped his grommet(somewhere in the engine compartmentand could not find it ) when he was installing his CAI and he looked all over as well and could not find one that fit..he called where he had ordered from and they sent him another one.
Contacting AFE did not help what so ever. I called Amazon (where I bought it for only 206$) and they are sending me a brand new kit for free. They didn't even charge me for one day shipping so I am getting it tomorrow, they also gave me a return label so I don't have to pay for shipping back the old kit. I hope that this doesn't happen again and hopefully I can install it before I leave for Cops and Rodders.
