When i was leaving panera thursday night check engine light came on i got the code its P0152* 2/1 02 Sensor Shorted To Voltage. Does anybody know what this means or what i can do ? Thanks Rocky
Unless I am mistaken on this, that code could mean:
The sensor is shorting out to 12 volts when it is supposed to only be getting 5 volts,
The connector is badly corroded , or
The sensor itself has broken internally.
O2 sensor do get a 5 volt reference signal from the computer. the computer than reads the actual voltage coming from the sensor to see how much emissions are coming out of the cylinders. The voltage coming from or going to the sensor should be no more than 5 volts.
I know exactly what it means Rocky--you are to hand over the keys of your SRT 10 truck to me--lol--
Try this link P0152 and P0300
These guys think its either a bad sensor or a build up of carbon on the cylinders. You can try a fuel system cleaner or it could be a bad sensor, like Matt says. Perform a visual inspection on the sensor, could be as simple as a pinched wire.
Ok guys i checked the battery it had corrosion so i disconected oith sides . Scrubed them with wire brush and hooked it back up . No check engine light and no codes , So i hope that was it . Thanks for the help Rocky
